TownSquare The Town Square Gazette

The TownSquare Community Now Has a Town Hall

The TownSquare community now has a Town Hall: a place for longer discussions, feature requests, and sharing your own TownSquare with others. Unlike the fleeting conversations that happen in town squares themselves, the Town Hall is designed for ideas that grow over time.

Over the past few weeks, conversations about TownSquare have appeared in GitHub issues, emails, Hacker News threads, blog comments, and private messages.

People have shared ideas, feature requests, bug reports, screenshots, and stories about the little corners of the web they've built.

It felt like the community needed a place of its own.

So today I'm happy to announce the opening of the TownSquare Town Hall.

Unlike TownSquares themselves, where conversations are fleeting and visitors come and go, the Town Hall is a place for longer discussions that can unfold over days, weeks, or months.

A place where ideas can be collected, refined, and revisited.

A place to:

  • Ask questions
  • Suggest features
  • Share feedback
  • Show off your TownSquare
  • Discover what others are building

For now, the Town Hall has three rooms for now:

  • General for discussions, questions, and anything TownSquare-related.

  • Feature Requests for ideas, suggestions, and wish lists.

  • Show Your Town for sharing your TownSquare and discovering the places others have created.

The goal isn't to build another giant forum or social network.

Just a small town hall for the people building town squares.

The doors are open. Come in and say hello at https://townsquare.cauenapier.com/forum/
