Gazette Notice: the Mayor has seen the figures
Plus site owners now have a private statistics desk for visitors, messages, daily trends, and the hours when their TownSquare is busiest.
The Mayor's Office has received a new set of figures about your TownSquare. This is welcome news, as the old set of figures consisted mainly of the Mayor looking out of the window and saying, “Seems fairly busy.”
Plus site owners will now find a Statistics tab in their admin page. It shows how many people are online now, how many unique visitors were seen today, and how many appeared during the last 7, 30, 90, or 180 days. It also counts chat messages over the same periods, along with the total sent since the town opened its gates.
There are daily charts for visitors and messages, for those who enjoy a tidy row of columns. There is also a weekday-and-hour traffic view, which helps you spot when people usually arrive. A quiet Tuesday morning may now be identified officially as a quiet Tuesday morning.

Visitor days and hours follow the timezone reported by your browser, with UTC available from the selector if you prefer the official Town Hall clock. The hourly view uses averages so that Mondays are compared fairly with Mondays, rather than with whichever weekday happened to occur five times in the selected range.
The message ledger still closes each day at UTC midnight. A message sent near midnight may therefore appear against the neighbouring date in your timezone, which the Council considers acceptable until it acquires a second ledger.
The figures are private to your authenticated site admin. They are aggregate counts: the Office records how many visitors came by, not a list of who they were. No browser identities are included in the report, and no clipboard has been issued to the Mayor for following people around.
How to get Plus
Plus is available with a Buy Me a Coffee membership. Visit Cauê Napier on Buy Me a Coffee, find Become a member, and choose Join. Your membership helps keep the Square running; the Mayor has been advised not to spend it all on clipboards.
Open Admin → Statistics on a Plus site to inspect the ledger. The Mayor will continue looking out of the window, but this is now considered ceremonial.
